More Than 1.25 Lakh Teachers’ Post Still Vacant In Bihar
Teachers Mostly Required For Class 6 To 8 To Balance The Ratio
Patna : Sources say that more than 1.25 lakh teachers’ post in Bihar government school is still vacant. Once these all vacant teachers’ post are filled, the ratio of student-teacher will be correct. However, the Education Department has not finally released the data related to primary planning in this regard.
Teachers required from class one to five and six to eight are 64391 and 45650 respectively. After the completion of the planning for the year 2019-20, there are 50037 vacancies of teachers in primary schools. There are also 37727 vacancies from class one to five and 11220 vacancies from class 6 to 8. It is noteworthy that the teacher planning of the sixth phase was done according to the need of 90700 teachers. About half of these posts were left vacant.
- 7086 teachers have retired in the state from 2020 to March 2022.
- Teachers mostly required for class 6 to 8 to balance the ratio.
There is a total need of 71590 teachers to balance the student-teacher ratio.
