The Teacher Eligibility Test, known as TET, is the minimum qualification required in India for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. The test is mandatory for teaching jobs in Indian government schools. The TET is conducted both by the central and state governments of India.

Age Limit for TET Exam 2020 :

The Candidates who wants to Apply for TET Exam, their Age should have to be 18–35 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in TET Exam :

The Candidates who wants to Apply for TET Exam they should have to :

A bachelor’s degree from any recognized university or institute with minimum of 45% marks.
Obtained any of the valid education or elementary education degrees, such as Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed), or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

TET Exam Pattern 2020 :

Exam Duration – 150 minutes
Total questions – 150
Question Type – Multiple Choice
Pass Percentage – 60

TET Exam Syllabus 2020 :

There will be two papers in TET Exam –

Paper 1 – For candidates planning to teach the students of classes I – V
Paper 2 – For candidates planning to teach the students of classes VI-VIII
