About us :

Kisan College, Sohsarai (Nalanda), a constituent Unit of Magadh University was established by intellectuals and ordinary farmers of this educationally and economically bakwoard region of Nalanda District due to their sheer determination contribution and devotion in the name of Kisan College to provide quality education to new generation irrespective of caste, creed and gender. Over a span of six decades, this college has grown into an important institution of higher education of teaching, research and extra curricular activities. Kisan College, an old Constituent Unit of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya, was founded with a vision to restore the glory of ancient Nalanda which was the seat of learning. Students come from different parts of the State and far-flung places to receive the light of knowledge.
The college came into existence under the able leadership of Late Ramji Prasad and honorable Principal Late Ram Baran Sinha. A few philanthropists joined together to found a centre of higher studies in the northern part of Biharsarif. Late Ramji Prasad, was a man of Gandhian thought and revered person of all sections of the society.
