About us :

This college was established on 1 August, 1960 as co-educational college at Dalsinghsarai Block under Samastipur Sub-Division of Darbhanga District of Bihar State by two generous landlords Shri Ramashray Prasad Choudhary and Shri Baleshwar Prasad Choudhary who donated land and money for establishing this institution. At that time this locality was completely deprived of higher education. The institution was established with the mission of spreading higher education in this locality with special focus on the people of socially and economically weaker sections, women, SC, other backward classes and minorities.

This is only institution that provides higher education to the students of this locality. The college has a huge campus spreading in 25 bigha of land located near NH 28 and the built up area is 4900 Sq.M. From its very inception the vision of the college is to full fill one of the noble objectives “To facilitate accessible and affordable quality education that leverages the students with scholarly and professional skills, moral principles and global perspective”. The college imparts teaching up to Honours level in 5 subjects in Science faculty and 9 subjects in Social Science and Humanities faculty and Post-graduate teaching in 4 subject viz. Psychology, History, Economics and Political Science. Many modern electronic gadgets like computers, LCD projectors, smart boards and many others are used to improve teaching of the institution. The college has spacious class rooms, equipped laboratories, rich library, well furnished reading room and computer lab., girls hostel and indoor and outdoor sports facilities, seminar hall etc, for various academic and co-curricular activities to enhance the confidence of students. We wish to march in progressive way to serve the society by producing quality graduates with employable skills.
