G.D MISHRA INSTITUTE OF HIGHER STUDIES( GDIHS), Buxar is a ‘Teacher’s Training’ college under the aegis of the LORD BUDDHA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SOCIETY. The institution believes in the Lord Buddha’s Marg of eliminating darkness of illiteracy by enlightening with the lamp of education and knowledge.
The college is located in the lap of nature on the south-eastern part of the historical city of Buxar, encompassed by the river Ganges on the northern side. Buxar was chosen by Lord Rama to bring the social change through his knowledge, discipline, devotion and love. He succeeded in establishing a society with high moral standards. This place also carries the legacy of the most revered saint and teacher Vishwamitra who taught and guided his disciples Ram and Laxman. Located in a place of great historical importance, the clean, green and calm surroundings of the college make it an ideal place for learning. The famous ‘Foundation School’ of Buxar is on the adjoining north-western side of the college.

- The B.Ed. program aims to train teachers for the secondary schools in all over India and abroad.
- The curriculum, pedagogy and the systems of this course is strictly followed by NCTE Bhubaneswar, B.R.A. Bihar University
Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India - The emphasis of this course is given to the development of knowledge, teaching skills with other experimental course.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) Duration: 2 Year
Eligibility: Duration: 2 Years Eligibility: Eligibility: Intermediate with 50% marks (any subject) from any recognized Board. The reservation and relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Govt. / State Govt.
