About us :

Ram Krishna College, situated at the foothills of Himalaya and in the Heartland of Mithilanchal, was established in 1940 by Baboo Ram Krishna Purbey. He envisioned a dream of establishing a high class educational Institution; an Institution that would mould and guide future generations to enlightenment; this dream has come a long way in the last seven decades.

This premier College was established as an under Graduate College in August 1940 and was affiliated to Patna University in 1941. Thenceforth, it started teaching in Arts, Science and Commerce catering to the academic needs of the people of this boarder district and parts of Nepal. This College became a Constituent unit of Lalit Narayan Mithila University in 1975.

The College got recognized under 2(f) of UGC act in 1992. On account of excellent academic performances Post Graduate studies started here in 1983. At present, the College imparts Post Graduate education to students across all the three faculties i.e. Arts, Science and Commerce. Of late, the University has granted affiliation for P.G. Diploma and P.G. Degree in Human Rights Education on the recommendation of University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
