Govt. Polytechnic, Araria is one of the newest polytechnic in Bihar. It was established on 30th-April-2018. This is newest in Koshi Zone. It has 04 acres (approx) on land, with its only boundary wall and compound. It has the residential facility for principal lecturers, Boys, Girls clerks etc. The institution is stories with a large no. of lecture rooms, labs, and a separate workshop. All the labs and workshop are well equipped, proper no. of books are available in the library. College library & office is partially automatized. The BCECE Board conducts Diploma Entrance Competitive Examination for admission in Govt. Polytechnic, Araria and AICTE approved Private Polytechnic in the State of Bihar.:

- Their parents are the native of Bihar.
- Their parents are domiciled in Bihar.
- Their parents are registered refugee of Bihar.
- Their parents are native of other states but employee of Govt. of Bihar.
