Nalanda Open University (NOU

Nalanda Open University (NOU), the only university of the state rendering higher education in distance mode, is striving hard to reach out to the youths of remote and educationally backward areas. It has set up as many as 265 study centres at different places in the state.
NOU registrar Ghanshyam Roy told the newspaper that from the next academic session the university would hold its examinations at divisional and district headquarters to facilitate the poor students who face difficulties in taking the examinations at the university headquarters in Patna.
